Tommy R. Jeffers Jr.

Tommy R. Jeffers Jr. died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 76.
A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, he attended Culkin High School and formerly worked for Westinghouse Corp. for 10 years. He then worked for Vicksburg Chemical Co., retiring after 34 years of service.
He served in the Army Reserve at the 412th Theater Engineer Command and was discharged after six years with the rank of sergeant over the motor pool. He attended Crossway Church where he served as a Deacon.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy R. Sr. and Ethel Limeback Jeffers; his brother, Jessy Lee Jeffers; and his sister, Margaret Omega Jeffers.
Survivors include his wife Faye Pugh Jeffers of Vicksburg; son Billy Dale (Robyn) Jeffers of Vicksburg; two sisters, Patricia Ann Sanders of Vicksburg and Frances Marie Jeffers of Peachtree City, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Ryan Douglas Jeffers, Caitlyn Nicole Jeffers and Anne Marie Jeffers.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White officiating and assisted by the Rev. Leonard Pugh. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Hollowell, David Mobley, Bob McClure, Lavern Green, Tae Everett, James Bridges and Mark Ettinger.
Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Huskey, Mike Craft, Dave Jobe, Barry Nash, Billy Johnston, Shelton Ezell, Allin Butts, John Miles, Dr. Thomas Sligh, Dr. Alfredo Viguera, Dr. Timothy Cannon, Dr. James Valentine and the Adult 4 Sunday school class of Crossway Church.
