Warren Central tennis tryouts

Tryouts for Warren Central’s varsity tennis team will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Halls Ferry Park courts. All players should have a current physical and their own racquet. For more information, call coach Jeff Pilgrim at 601-638-3372.

Play 2 Wynn basketball camp

Former Vicksburg High star Donna Brown-Wynn will host her 13th annual annual Play 2 Wynn basketball camp June 1-5 at Vicksburg High School. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day, and is for boys and girls ages 6-17. The cost is $75 per person. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Brown is a former VHS and Mississippi State star who went on to coach at Mississippi State, Belmont University and Tennessee State.

Hinds CC football camps

The Hinds Community College football program will host a 7-on-7 camp, as well as a camp for offensive and defensive linemen on the Raymond campus in June.

The linemen camp runs from June 22-24. The cost of the camp is $150 for those registered by June 1, or $175 after that date.

The 7-on-7 camp is a one-day session on June 25. beginning at 8:30 a.m. The cost of the camp is $200 for a team of 20 players, plus $25 for each additional player.

All players must have a current physical form and a signed waiver.

Hinds soccer recruiting camp

The Hinds Community College women’s soccer program will host its first Soccer ID recruiting camp on May 30.

The camp is for rising female high school seniors and will be held at Tom Shepherd Field on the Raymond campus beginning at 10 a.m. There will be two training sessions as well as a campus tour, and lunch will be provided.

Hinds CC soccer camp

The Hinds Community College men’s and women’s soccer programs will host their annual youth soccer camp June 1-5 on the Raymond campus. The camp is for boys and girls ages 7-14. It begins each morning at 8 a.m. and continues until 4:30 p.m.

The camp will feature instruction from current and former Hinds coaches and players, and emphasizes technique training and tactics. The cost of the camp is $175.
