Charlie Sims of Vicksburg died Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 87.

He was retired from the Mat Sinking Unit for the Corps of Engineers and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
