Services for George Louis Calvin will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfred Lassiter Sr. officiating.

Mr. Calvin died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at his home. He was 77.

Mr. Calvin was retired. He was a member of Antioch Christian Fellowship.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Whitaker Hatchett; stepfather, Albert Hatchett; a son, George Calvin Jr., his grandparents, Austin and Patsy Whitaker; four uncles, Albert, Leon, George and James Whitaker; and four aunts, Teresa Nash, Lucille Brumfield, Rosie Stewart and Mary Helen Lee.

He is survived by one son, Rodney Calvin Sr. of San Francisco, Calif.; three daughters, Angie Calvin Geter, Lois Arcement, and Sarah Robinson of San Francisco; one aunt, Susie Mae Tolliver of Aurora, Ill.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and host of cousins including the Whitaker, Ross, Lee, and Stewart families.
