HOUSTON, TEXAS — Deneen Washington-Knowles died Monday, July 6, 2015 at her residence. She was 50.

She is survived by her parents, George and Katie Washington of Port Gibson; a son, Aijalon Knowles of Houston, Texas; a non-biological daughter, Sabra Knowles of Houston, Texas; a brother, Willie Washington of Buffalo, N.Y.; two uncles, Jimmy Reeves of Memphis, Tenn. and Michael Reeves of Lorman; three aunts, Charlie B. Smith of Fayette, Doris Davis of Port Gibson and Cheryl Rankin of Lorman; one great-aunt, Odessa Reeves of Port Gibson; and a number of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Sunday, July 12, at First Baptist Church in Port Gibson, with Rev, Kevin Winters officiating.

Burial will be in McCay Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Sunday, from 2 p.m. until service time at the church.
