Jimmy Dale Strong

Jimmy Dale Strong died Wednesday, July 8, 2015. He was 65.

Mr. Strong was a native and lifelong resident of the Carpenter Community. He was a Master Sergeant Conservation Officer for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife for 23 years. He served in the Mississippi National Guard. He was an active member and Deacon of Utica Baptist Church. Mr. Strong served on the board of Copiah County Farm Bureau and the Copiah County NRCS and was a Gideon. He received the Heroin Award two different occasions as a conservation officer.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Humphrey Strong; son, Travis Strong of Raymond; daughters, Michelle Strong Hubbard and husband Joel and Christina Strong all of Carpenter; half-sister, Allie Westmoreland French of Pearl; and grandchildren, Mason Edward Strong, Joshua Thomas Hubbard, Logan Dale Strong, Daniel Coy Hubbard, and Parker Layne Strong.

Visitation was Friday.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Utica Baptist Church with burial at Carpenter Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Utica Baptist Church or to your favorite charity.
