Arthur “Bopete” Green, Jr.  died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in Vicksburg. He was 80.

He was a retired truck driver at Falco Lime and J.J. McCool. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Green Sr. and Susie B. Smith; a brother, Henry Johnson; and a sister, Lillie Brow.

Survivors include his wife, Delphine Green Ester; daughters, Paula Green Lyons, Tracie Green, Lottie Green, Shellon Wilson and Romonia Thompson all of Vicksburg, Verna Garner and Bettye Hayes Toy of Hattiesburg; a son, Arthur Green, III of Vicksburg; brother, Albert Williams of Vicksburg, Charlie Johnson, Tom Johnson and Jesse Johnson all of Texas; sisters, Henrietta Paige, Annie Huntley, Rosie Bor and Pearlie Cook all of Texas; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends including Joseph Burns.

Services will be held 11am on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Wesley, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Porters Chapel MB Church Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
