One held in shooting

A Vicksburg man accused of shooting into a vehicle was held without bail Wednesday.

Teremiah Cox, 21, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday and charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Cox is accused of shooting into a vehicle on Mission 66 early Sunday after arguing with two men in the vehicle.

“The vehicle in which the complainant was struck at least three time by bullets from a large caliber weapon.  No injuries were reported,” Williams said.

Cox is being held in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility pending his initial appearance set for Friday.

 

Electronics, jewelry missing

Electronics and jewelry were missing following two burglaries reported Tuesday in Warren County.

At 7:30 p.m., a 32-inch television and jewelry were reported missing from a home in the 10 block of Limestone Drive, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.

At 10:30 p.m., two 32-inch televisions, a laptop computer and $50 were reported missing from a home in the 2800 block of U.S. 80,  according to sheriff’s records.
