Dear Editor,

Your editorial entitled “Kuhn Hospital” is a courageous statement of your commitment to objective journalism, in spite of the harshness of its tone. It may not sit well with those responsible for dealing with depressed and dilapidated properties but it needed to be stated. This has long been a problem in Vicksburg, as well as Warren County.

The problem of abandoned and derelict properties is an acute embarrassment for the city of Vicksburg.
