Johnny Ray Burton died Monday, July 6, 2015, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 63.

He was a retired employee with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church.

He is  preceded in death by his father, Charles Burton Sr., and his mother, Violet White.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Burton; three  brothers,  Charles “Curby” White, Charles Burton III and David Burton; two  sisters, Vickie Crutchfield and Donna Richardson; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with Brother Van Carter officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers  will be  Jim Ramshur,  Dwain Carpenter,  Austin Columbus, Corey Morgan, Rick Vanderford,  Brandon Vanderford.  Honorary  pallbearers will be Charles Burton III and Dusty Carpenter.
