Funeral services for Myrtle E. Bowie are to be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the House of Pease Worship Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Brown officiating.

Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Bowie died Saturday, July 11, 2015, in Berkley, Calif. She was 100.

She was a longtime member of Mount Zion No. 1 M.B. Church in Vicksburg and in 2011 moved to California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Bowie Sr., and a son, Lemuel James Bowie.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Bowie Jr.

Pallbearers will be Percy Bell, Alfred Sims, Willie Williams, Albert Hattchatt, Edwin William and Charles Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Kemp, Jimmy Russell, Steven Thompson, Otis Kemper, Robert Smith, Troy Kimble, Ryan Taylor and Larry Williams.
