Bobby Earl Huell

Bobby Earl Huell died July 20, 2015, in Vicksburg. He was 65.
He was born March 6, 1950, in Vicksburg to the late Bennie and Gertrude Wilson Huell and had attended Mercy Seat M.B. Church since June.
He is a 1970 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School where he played football. He graduated from Alcorn State University in Lorman, where he played football, and after graduation became a free agent for the Pittsburg Steelers.
He began his teaching career in 1980 at McCall High in Tallulah, La., later at Hinds AHS in Utica. In 1990, he began working for Vicksburg Warren School District at Vicksburg High School.
Mr. Huell was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosie Palmer, Willie Mae Coleman, and Louise Perkins; five brothers, Hebert Harper, Barrington Wilson, Bennie Huell Jr., Albert Huell and Louis Huell.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Wynn Huell; a son, Derrick Huell, and daughter, Angela Barnett of Vicksburg; three granddaughters, Aleeshah Smith, Kristin Barnett, and Kelsey Huell; three grandsons, Adrian Smith, Caleb Barnett, and Caden Barnett; one great-granddaughter, Amariyah G. Barnett; two sisters, Pearl Huell Harris of Vicksburg, Katie Walls of Mesa, Ariz.; three brothers, Charles Huell of Jackson and Clarence Huell and Alonzo Stevens, both of Vicksburg.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Travelers Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Rudy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 1 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m., and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
