Regina Lynn McMorris died Friday, July 24, 2015, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. She was 57.
She was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, where she was employed by the Vicksburg Clinic and HMI in Vicksburg. She was of the Baptist faith. She was an active gardener and loved her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Charlotte Walker Byrd; her in-laws, L.G. and Emma Lou McMorris; and her brothers-in-law, Ronald McMorris and Michael McMorris.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry McMorris of Vicksburg; her daughters, Rebecca McMorris and April McMorris (Cole Landers), both of Vicksburg; her sisters, Rinda (Mike) Haden and Robin (Thomas) Weeks, both of Vicksburg; her two grandchildren, Presley and Ruston; her nieces Angie (Shane) Cornett and Heather Haden (Chris) Ashley; her nephews, Ron (Karlin) McMorris II, Brad McMorris, Michael (Laura) Haden and Kyle (Taylor) Frazier; her great-niece, Jules McMorris; and great-nephews, Blake Cornett, Austin Cornett, Haden Ashley and Eli Frazier.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Holifield officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and from noon Monday until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Haden, Austin Cornett, Blake Cornett, Kyle Frazier, Cole Landers and Brad McMorris. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Rogers, Mark McCann, Cheri Emery, Edward Gore, Chris Funkhouser, CMP, Dr. Bobby Graham, Dr. David Sullivan, Dr. Allan Miller, Dr. Reid Cotton, Dr. James Jones and the Staff of St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.
