Myrtis Faye Varnado, 62, of Vicksburg, died Aug. 1, 2015, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home.

Service are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Levi Temple C.O.G.I.C. with Bishop A.V. Jordan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Peoples Undertaking Co. of McComb.

Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Varnado was born Sept. 30, 1952, in Magnolia to Edna Varnado and the late Tharo Varnado Sr.

She was a nurse and worked for Promise Health Care for five years.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Varnado.

Besides her mother, survivors include four brothers, Tharo Varnado Jr. of Killeen, Texas, Eddie Varnado of Independence, La., and Henry Varnado Sr. of Magnolia, Robert Varnado of Magnolia; three sisters, Rosa D. Brumfield of Magnolia, Carolyn Downs of Bogue Chitto and Alice Varnado of Magnolia; and of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
