Eddie Lee Hayes Sr. of Vicksburg died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at his home. He was 69.

He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and a retired logger and commercial fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank George Hayes Sr.; mother, Mary Lou Hayes; wife, Barbara Hayes; son, Eddie Lee Hayes Jr.; and brothers, Bill Cody Hayes, Eugene Hayes and Robert Hayes.

Survivors include two sons, Joshua Hayes and Johnny Knight, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Brenda Cook of Vicksburg; four brothers, John Hayes of Pearl, Frank Hayes Jr. and Leon Hayes, both of Vicksburg, and Roger Lee Hayes of Arkansas; four sisters, Mary Dobbs of Vicksburg, Holly Kuhn of Carthage, Sheryldean Littlejohn of Texas and Mary Alice Wooten of Vicksburg; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, from 9 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Richard Cook, Austin Camardelle, Lem Carpenter, Dakota Merritt, Rusty Hayes, Tommy McElroy, Robert Phelps and Jamie Pevey.
