The new, open-air restaurant, 10 South Rooftop Bar and Grill, which sits on top of the First National Bank building in downtown Vicksburg features “The Signature,” a barbecue bacon burger with pepper jack cheese, candied bacon, potato sticks and Coca-Cola barbecue sauce.

The restaurant, with a spectacular panoramic view of the Mississippi River, Louisiana Delta Point, Yazoo Canal and Centennial Lake, is co-owned by local restaurateur Jay Parmegiani and offers a mix of traditional sports bar fare with salads, desserts and a laid-back atmosphere.

“The place is casual and moderately priced,” Parmegiani said. “Ideally, someone could walk in there after work wearing a T-shirt and shorts, order a cold draft beer or a craft beer and have the best burger in town.”

The sandwich is the creation of chef Kevin Roberts and has been a hit from the moment it was unveiled at Parmegiani’s other restaurant Roca.
