Edwards man jailed in drug case

An Edwards man accused of selling cocaine was held without bail Wednesday morning.

At about 9 a.m. Tuesday, Ambus Wallace, 31, 2779 Old Highway 3, Edwards, was arrested on a warrant for sale of cocaine during a traffic stop, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.

Wallace was held in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility pending his initial court appearance set for Wednesday. However, it is unlikely Wallace will be able to post bail since he is currently on probation and has other pending charges, Kimble said.

Additionally, police arrested Brandon Lane, 25, 1950 Hope St., Apt. 1D, who was charged with sale of cocaine. Lane posted $10,000 bail and was released.
