Sharon Ann Stokes died Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 49.

She was born in Jackson and had lived most of her life in Vicksburg, where she worked as a registered nurse.

She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley N. Short; and her sister Anita Tarnabine.

Survivors include her son, Brayden Stokes of Vicksburg; mother, Charlene Short of Vicksburg; and sister, Trina LaComb of Baton Rouge, La.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Roland, Corey Roland, Jason Tarnabine, Jacob Tarnabine, Mark Segers and Chris Bell.
