MAYERSVILLE — James L. White died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 77.

Survivors include seven sins, James Williams of Puckett, James Smith and Kenneth Hunt, both of Mayersville, Cordell Smith of Tallahatchie, Fla., Troy Piggs of Glen Allan, Michael Piggs of Texas and Keith and Cultina Lee, both of Georgia; five daughters, Annette Duckworth of McGee, Wendy Hunt of Snellville, Ga., Penny Hunt and Phebbe Hunt, both of Rolling Fork, and Corrine Stewart of Port Gibson; four brothers, Eugene White of Kankakee, Ill., Roosevelt White of Oklahoma, Dan White of Texas, and Otis White of Texas; one sister, Elmira Scott of Rolling Fork; 29 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Mayersville with pastor Larry D. White officiating. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery in Mayersville under the direction of Mitchell L. Walker Funeral Home
