Funeral services for Douglas Leon Bryant Jr. are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Pleasant Valley M. B .Church with the Rev. Kevin Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Bryant died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015.  He was 47.

He was a forklift operator for the Bayer Science Co. and was a graduate of Warren Central High School.  He was a member of Pleasant Valley M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Douglas Leon Bryant, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Silas and Ellen Bright, and paternal grandparents, Robert and Clara Bryant.

Survivors include his son, Zachary Bryant of Vicksburg; mother, Eddie Lee Bright Bryant of Vicksburg; brother, Algie Bryant of Atlanta, Ga.; his sister, Shantay Bryant Thompson of Vicksburg; two grandchildren; and aunts uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
