PORT GIBSON — Glentyne Carr of Port Gibson died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015. She was 85.

She was born in Tylertown and attended school in Red Lick and Lorman. She traveled and lived all across the United States before returning home and settling in the Unity Church Community in 1972 where she was a member of Unity Baptist church. She worked as a manager at several local businesses in Port Gibson through the years until retiring in 2000.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015 at Glenwood chapel in Port Gibson; Burial will be at Unity Baptist Church in Jefferson County. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Port Gibson.

The Rev. Cliff Nelson will be officiating the service under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
