Hubert Wallace Curry

Hubert Wallace Curry died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 58.
Mr. Curry was born in Vicksburg March 24, 1957, to the late Richard and Annie Elizabeth Curry. He was one of 12 children, and had an identical twin and was a member of Zion Travelers MB Church.
Mr. Curry received his education in the Greenville Public School System, graduating from Greenville High School. He attended Abilene Christian College, later transferring to Lane College in Jackson, Tenn., where he and his twin dominated were named all-conference linebackers by the Southwest Athletic Conference.
He worked many years in law enforcement for several agencies.
He was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Annie Elizabeth Curry; brother, Wardell Thomas Miles; twin brother, Herbert Wallace Curry; sister, Doris Elizabeth miles Chambers, and father-in-law, Edgar Darling.
Survivors include his wife, Khaye Curry; son, Branden Curry of Hollywood, Fla; mother-in-law; grandmother, Marie Collie of Florida; brothers, Louis Alfred Miles of Vicksburg, Karl Francis Wallace of Atoka, Tenn., and Harry Wayne Wallace of Vicksburg; five sisters, Greta Ratler of San Francisco, Sarah Ruth Bailey of Chicago, Jacqueline Tucker Dotson of Greenville, Ethel W. Larkins of El Paso, Texas, and Shirley Wallace-Brown of Yorktown, Va.; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11a.m. Saturday at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Lassiter Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday held at the funeral home from 1 to 7 p.m.. with family present 6 to 7 p.m.
