Funeral services for Willie Mae Barnes Hart will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Blackmore officiating, Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hart died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 86.
She was retired from Cooper Lighting Division after 29 years of service. She worked at Waterways Experiment Station before working at Cooper Lighting.
She was a member of the St. James M. B. Church, and was a 1947 graduate of Bowman High School. She loved to play bingo and participate in family dinners
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Micheal Hart; her brothers, Marshall Barnes Jr., Gloster Barnes, Uylesses Barnes, Roosevelt Barnes, Leon Barnes and John Barnes; and her sisters Marie Barnes Hart, Inez Barnes, Mathill Barnes and Mary Alice Smith,
Survivors include her sons, Alfred Barnes and Ernest Allen, both of Vicksburg, James Allen Jr. of Wauxahatchie, Texas, and Carl Barnes of Dallas; daughters, Linda Hart Blackmore of Vicksburg and Brenda Barnes of Bay Shore, N.Y., 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
