To the editor:
The Rosa A. Temple High School Class of 1965 has completed the celebration of its 50th year class reunion. It was indeed a luxurious affair, and was well attended by classmates from far and near, various elected officials and former teachers and friends.
It is time for us to reflect on those people and businesses who gave liberally to make our reunion effort more than we could have ever expected. You are the people who provided in-kind services and gifts to us in order that we could offer even more than we could have provided given our financial plan.
Beginning with our local government officials, community churches, ccasinos, and various other entities which contribute to the commerce of the City of Vicksburg, we were gratuitously showered with the use of a meeting place, gift items and more. All of these enabled us to enhance our reunion package, and we are sincerely grateful.
The Rosa A. Temple High School Class of 1965 is extremely proud of the city that Vicksburg has become. We are happy to report that even though some classmates have already retired and returned to their native Vicksburg to live, others spoke about the possibilities of moving back to Vicksburg upon retirement in the not too distant future.
Please know that we acknowledged all of you by name in our class meeting and mae the classmates aware of your contributions.
Our classmates thank you for making us who live in Vicksburg proud.
