A Vicksburg woman and her son were free on bail after arrest by U.S. Marshals Friday morning in child custody case.

Kathryn Loyacono, 66, and her son Sean Edwards, were arrested Friday by the marshal’s office at about 8:30 a.m. Friday after indictment by a federal grand jury for paternal interference in child custody.

A family member said the case was filed in federal court in Arizona, but a reporter for this newspaper could not locate the case in federal court records. Because the case involves child custody, it is likely sealed and not available for public viewing.

The mother and her son appeared in Warren County Circuit Court Friday where Judge Isadore Patrick set bail at $2,500. Both posted bail and were released.
