Ora Lee

Ora Lee died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 95.

She was the daughter of the late John and Nancy Lee of Mayersville.

After the flood of 1927, the family moved to Vicksburg, and she became a local missionary in her adult life. She was an employee of Jitney Jungle for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bree Lee Sr.; one son, Alton Charles Lee; and a grandson, Kelly Lee.

Survivors include her son, Bree Lee Jr.; daughter in law, Ann Lane Lee; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; six great-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lee Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Jim Pettway, Jessie Brent, Douglas Hearn, Capt. Mike Cogan, Capt. Glenn Jones and Capt. Gerald Arnold.

Memorial donations may be made to the Baptist Children’s Village.
