St. Al soccer thumps Lee

Madelyn Polk scored three goals and assisted on another, and the St. Aloysius girls soccer team remained undefeated Monday by beating Lee Academy 8-1.

Sara McDaniel added two goals and two assists, Shelby Bottin had a goal and an assist, and Brooklyn Breithaupt had two goals and one assist.

Cameron Mathis also scored for the Lady Flashes (6-0), and Sydney Mathis had four assists.

St. Al will go on the road to play Indianola Academy today at 4 p.m. The winner will have the inside track to the District 1-AAA championship. The teams will play again in Bovina on Sept. 30.
