Two men jailed in cocaine cases

A Jackson man accused of cocaine possession was jailed here Friday.

Jamal Lindsey, 27, 757 Lawrence Road, Jackson, was arrested at 1 p.m. Thursday and charged with possession of cocaine following a traffic stop at Halls Ferry and Porters Chapel roads, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Lindsey appeared Friday in Vicksburg Municipal Court where Municipal Judge Toni Terrett set bail at $5,000.

Additionally, Alexander Lindsey, 23, 2025 Military Avenue, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Thursday and charged with possession of cocaine following a traffic stop at Cherry Street and Quinn Ally, Williams said.

The two Lindseys are not believed to be related, she said.

It was unclear if Alexander Lindsey had appeared in municipal court Friday.
