Gary Lynn Evans died Tuesday Sept. 22, 2015, at Promise Hospital in Vicksburg. He was 61 years old.

Mr. Evans was born to the late Mount A. Evans and Nina M. Evans on Aug. 19, 1954, in Bastrop, Louisiana.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Kenneth Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Evans of Vicksburg; two daughters Misty Jackson of Vicksburg and Christy Davidson (James) of Vicksburg; two brothers, Ralph Evans (Linda) of Monroe, Louisiana, and Albert Evans of North Mississippi; a sister, Reba Matlock (Rickey) of Monroe, Louisiana; and three grandchildren, Dustin Jackson, Miranda Jackson and Brandon Davidson; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday at Southside Baptist Church from 5 to 8 p.m.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 26, 2015, at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Clemts and Brandon Davidson officiating. Burial will be at Winter Green Cemetery in Port Gibson.

Pallbearers will be Paul Evans, Andy Brewer, Benji Evans, Kenny Evans, Brad Campbell, and Ryan Evans.
