Funeral services for Alfred Wesley Patton Sr. will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmie Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Patton died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at this home. He was 62. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Rosemont M. B. Church of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry C. and Frances Nichols Patton; his two brothers, Henry Patton and Allen Patton; sister, Darlene Flowers; and his maternal grandparents, Abe and Mandy Nichols.

Survivors include his wife, Doris M. Davis Patton of Vicksburg; two sons Alfred Wesley Patton Jr. of Vicksburg and Albert D. Davis of Country Club Hills, Illinois; two daughters, La Tonya P. Brown and Doris Y Patton, both of Vicksburg; brother, Andrew Patton of Vicksburg; five sisters, Evelyn Gilliam and Frances Gregory, both of Vicksburg, Regina Green of New York City, Dr. Mary Rivers of Naperville, Illinois, and Myra Osei Aybmang of Cedar Hills, Texas; eight grandsons; a granddaughter; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
