Michael Lydale “Boo” Bester Sr. died Sept. 20, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 39.

Mr. Bester was born in Warren County, the son of Moise Bester, James Dixon Jr. and Michael Rials Sr.  (Carla). He attended Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Vicksburg.

He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and attended Warren Central High School and graduated from Batesville Job Corp Center, where he received a degree in brick masonry. He was employed by Foam Packaging and UPS.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Velma Bester, and maternal grandfather, Ezkiel Bester.

Besides his parents, he is survived by six children, Kierra Reynolds, Michael Bester Jr., Jaylon Bester, Michea Bester, Damijal Bester and Myshel Jenkins; paternal grandparents, Viola Dixon and James Dixon Sr. and Walter Dunbar, all of Vicksburg; five brothers, Tommy Bester, Stacy Bester and James Dixon III, both of Vicksburg, Michael Rials Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Brian Rials of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, April Rials-Fisher of Brandon, and Amanda Washington and Sharon Washington of Vicksburg; and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at Zion Travelers MB Church, with the Rev. Troy Truly of Truly Ministries officiating

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home.
