Shirley Holman died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at her residence. She was 71.

Born in Benoit, she had been a resident of Vicksburg most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Clarence G. Jones and Lucille Dewberry Jones. Mrs. Holman attended Lighthouse Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Holman Sr.; a daughter: Patricia Barnette (George) and two sons: Jesse Holman Jr. and Glen Holman (Vanessa); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Fortner (Jimmy); and a brother, Jessie Jones (Debra).

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holman was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at Riles Funeral Home with Dr. E. L. Sharp, pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the service. Memorials may be made to charities of choice.
