Funeral service for Fred Sims Jr. will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnnie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Sims died Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 63.

He had been an owner/operator of his own janitorial service. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Rosa Lee Gray-Sims.

Survivors include his daughter, Tinisha N. Sims of New Orleans; sisters, Sara Sims-Red of Vicksburg and Dianne K. Sims of Oakland, California; three grandchildren; and aunts, uncles niece, nephews, cousins and others.
