Aubiegene B. “Skip” Allen III

Aubiegene B. “Skip” Allen III died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Merit Heath River Region Medical Center.  He was 72.  Born in Houston, Texas, he was a resident of Destrehan, LA and Eagle Lake. He was the son of the late Aubiegene B. Allen, Jr. and Ruth Allen. He was a graduate of East Jefferson High School in Kenner, LA.  Mr. Allen was a former employee of National Air Lines, Pam Am Airlines, Eastern Airlines and retired from US Air.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.  Mr. Allen was an avid fishing enthusiast.  He was a Christian.

Mr. Aubiegene is survived by his wife, Dianne Allen; two daughters, Karolyn Inman and Misty Clark; son, Keith R. Allen; 10 grandchildren: Gabriella Allen, Alexis B. Allen, Colton Plumley, Joshua Allen, Chris Ward, Katelyn Allen, Haley Allen, Rebecca Allen, Matthew Inman, Daxton Hunter and Liz McDaniel; a brother, Manny Allen; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Allen was predeceased by two sons, Kelly R. Allen and Kenny R. Allen; and a daughter, Amber D. Clark.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Fortenberry, pastor of the Church of the Way, Brookhaven, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the service.
