Funeral services for Lula Moody Burks will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Bypass Church of Christ with pastor Donald Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Henry Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 6 p.m., and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. A repast will be at the church annex building immediately following the burial.

Mrs. Burks died Oct. 12, 2015, at her sister’s home in Kosciusko. She was 88.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James Walter Burks; her parents, Humphrey Moody and Ruby Smith Moody; eight brothers, Judge Moody, Burdon Moody, Leon Moody, John T. Moody, Reuben James Moody, Alonzo Moody, John W. Moody and Rufus Moody; and one sister, Laura Bell Moody.

Survivors include three sisters, Mary B. Sutton of Canton, Nettie D. Moody of Kosciusko and Ruth Byrdsong of Nashville, Tennessee; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
