One held for possession after citizen suspicion

A Vicksburg woman accused of drug possession was held without bail Wednesday.

Rachel Clark, 36, 3313 Highland Drive, was arrested around 8 p.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of methamphetamine, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.

A 911 call came in around 8 p.m. Tuesday on a suspicious vehicle in the Freetown Road area, Lt. Randy Lewis said. Deputy Ronnie Fuller and Deputy Rick McDaniel located the vehicle two miles from were it was originally spotted, Lt. Randy Lewis said. A K-9 check alerted officers and led them to locate and recover the controlled substance in the vehicle, Lt. Randy Lewis said. According to Warren County sheriff’s records the substance has been sent to a drug lab.

Lt. Randy Lewis said it was a cooperative effort between citizens and Warren County sheriff’s deputies.

 

One held for possession after disturbance

A Warren County man was held without bail Wednesday for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Benjamin Brewer, 34, 1107 Freetown Road, was arrested after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Officers were investigating a disturbance reported at a business on the 3400 block of Pemberton Square Blvd. when Brewer was apprehended, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Bail was set at $50,000, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

 

Items missing from home on Grey Oaks Drive

An assortment of items was missing Wednesday following a residential burglary reported Tuesday in Vicksburg.

Three air-conditioning units, a washer, a dryer, three welding torches and wielding masks were reported stolen at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday from a home on the 100 block of Grey Oaks Drive, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

 

Items missing from vehicle at Riverwalk Casino

A bag was missing Wednesday following an auto burglary reported Tuesday in Vicksburg.

A purse and all of its contents were reported stolen by forced entry at 8 a.m. Tuesday from a secured 2008 Ford Taurus parked at Riverwalk Casino, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

 

One free on bail after accused mischief 

A Warren County woman accused of destruction of property was free on bail Wednesday.

Lakiksha Miller, 35, 112 St. Patrick St., was arrested and charged with malicious mischief, according to Warren County Jail records.
