Funeral services for Alice Dotson Mayfield will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at Springhill M. B. Church with the Rev. James Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mayfield died Friday, Oct.16, 2015, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 79. She was a homemaker and member of the Springhill M. B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gadi Dotson; a brother, Nathaniel Dotson; and her sister, Margie Dotson.

Survivors include her husband, James H. Mayfield Sr. of Vicksburg; three sons, James H Mayfield III, John Mayfield and Kenneth E. Mayfield, all of Vicksburg; five daughters, Lois Davis, Jennifer M. Mayfield and Joyce Ann Mayfield, all of Vicksburg, and Brenda Richardson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Janice M Mayfield of Jackson; her mother, Reva Allen Dotson of St. Louis; two brothers, Johnny Dotson and Carl Dotson, both of St. Louis; four sisters, Juanita Williams, Onetta Williams and Ann Brown, all of Los Angeles; and Rose Dotson of Vicksburg.
