Leonard Preston Fuller Sr.

Leonard Preston Fuller Sr., 87, of Vicksburg, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.
Mr. Fuller was born and lived all his life in Vicksburg. Leonard was retired after 41 years from the Illinois Central and Gulf Railroad as a yard clerk.
He loved traveling to the mountains and spending time with his family. He also loved sharing the history of Vicksburg with others and giving tours at the historic McRaven house, where he was a tour guide for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn E. Fuller; one son, Leonard P. Fuller Jr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rhea A Fuller Sr., two sisters, Frances Love and Wilhelmina Porter; and one brother, Rhea A. Fuller Jr.
Survivors include his children, Frances Lee (Leonard), Rhea A. Fuller IV (Liz) and Julie Fuller Haynes (Jerry) all of Vicksburg, John Whittington (Peggy) and Tim Whittington (Jodie), all of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Clarissa Swaggert (Glen) of Natchez; sister, Daisye Keeton of Richmond, Kentucky; brother Bill Fuller (Ann) of Vicksburg; sisters-in-law, Faye Lancaster and Kathy Ferguson (Jim), both of Vicksburg; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at the corner of Lee Road and Indiana Avenue with visitation beginning at 1p.m. The service will begin at 2 p.m. under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church or the charity of your choice.
