Willie James Brown died on Friday, October 16, 2015 at his home. He was 45.

Mr. Brown was born June 30, 1970, in Vicksburg to Willie James Mosley and the late Patricia Ann Brown Gaskin.

He was a member of Christian Home No. 1.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Brown Gaskin; stepfather, Louis Gaskin; grandparents, Robert Johnson, Frances Brown and Eddie Mosley; and a sister, Estella Mosley.

Survivors include one daughter, Jayla Miller of Pensacola, Florida; father and stepmother, Willie James and Peggy Mosley of Vicksburg; three brothers, Michael Brown of Jackson and Louis Gaskin, III and Willie James Mosley, both of Vicksburg; eight sisters, Aretha Miller, Mary Pierce, Lois Gaskin, Monica Mosley, Patricia Gaskin, Evette Wilson and Carolyn Gaskin, all of Vicksburg, and Pamela Gaskin of Portageville, Missouri; and a nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Home No. 1 Cemetery, Scott Road. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at the funeral home from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
