One man was removed from the scene of an accident by EMS Friday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. on South Frontage Road.

A motorcycle traveling east on South Frontage Road collided into the rear end of a gray Mitsubishi Mirage west on the same road when the driver of the car turned left near 2880 South Frontage Road according to witnesses.

The driver of the motorcycle Cody Hollowell, 31, was taken to Merit Health River Region Medical Center and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Vicksburg Police Captain  Sandra Williams said.

As of the time of press, Hollowell had not been released from the hospital.
