Funeral services for Charles Anthony Curtis will be Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roscoe Shears Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. There will be a visitation hour from 10a.m. till the funeral hour Monday.

Charles Anthony Curtis died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 66. He had worked as a security guard for Magnolia Security and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emma Elizabeth Reed-Curtis Sr.; his brother, Robert Curtis Jr.; his sisters, Emma Kate Wade Forrest and Martha Jean Curtis-Cooper.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Marie Ford Washington-Curtis of Vicksburg; three sons, Charles Curtis Gordon of Jackson, Charles McCalpin of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Charles Anthony Curtis Jr. of Vicksburg; four daughters Charlie Jean Curtis of Jackson, Elizabeth McCalpin and Chariffe Curtis of Vicksburg and Shaela Curtis of Green Bay, Wis.; brother, Eddie Leon Curtis of Vicksburg; three sisters, Connie Curtis Bingham of Upper Marlboro, Md., Rose Curtis Butler of Vicksburg and Margarite Curtis Burrell of Springdale, Md.; 32 grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
