One held for violence

A Warren County man accused of trying to attack a woman was held without bail Tuesday.

Colton Branning, 24, 118 Robert E. Lee Blvd., was arrested Sunday and charged with aggravated domestic violence, Warren County Sherriff Martin Pace said.

Branning is accused of attempting to assault a woman at a home on Savage Road, Pace said. When she left the home, Branning jumped on to the hood of the vehicle and was able to beat out the windshield as she drove on Highway 80, Pace said.

The victim called 911 and drove for two-miles until they met up with sheriff’s deputies at the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 27, Pace said.

Branning then jumped from the vehicle and ran south on Highway 27 before being found by a deputy in a dumpster behind a fast food restaurant, Pace said.

A detainer had already been placed on Branning from the Mississippi Department of Corrections for violating probation in a prior felony, Pace said.

 

Items stolen from cell phone store

Cell phone accessories were missing Wednesday following a burglary reported Tuesday in Vicksburg.

At 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, a small amount of cash, cell phones, memory cards, battery packs, chargers, car chargers, ear buds and Bluetooth were reported stolen by forced entry into Metro PCS at 2121 Clay St., Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

 

One free after gunfire

A Vicksburg man accused of firing at an automobile was free on bail Tuesday.

Ricky Perkins, 17, 824 Polk St., was arrested Monday and charged with shooting at a motor vehicle, according to Warren County Jail records.

 

One held for surrender of bond

A Vicksburg man accused of not paying his bail bond was held without bail Tuesday.

Andarius Peacock, 22, 1210 Finney St., was arrested Monday and charged with bond surrender for a previous charge of uttering forgery, according to Warren County Jail records.
