Porters Chapel Academy’s basketball season opener, scheduled for tonight at home against Central Hinds, has ben canceled, athletic director Wade Patrick said.

Patrick said a leak in the roof caused by this weekend’s heavy rains as well as unfinished construction of a new set of visitors’ bleachers, led to the cancellation. No makeup date has been set.

PCA’s next scheduled game is Nov. 10 at home against Hartfield Academy.
