Johnny Lee Hunt died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. He was 73.

He was born April 30, 1942, to the late Mr. Levi Hunt and the late Mrs. Joe Cary Hunt.

Mr. Hunt was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Belmont Missionary Baptist church. He was a 1964 graduate of Utica Junior College in Utica.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lenora McGriggs and Alberta Turner; and brothers, Lee G. Hunt and Charlie B. Hunt.

Survivors include his brothers, Robert E. Hunt and Elijah C. Hunt Sr. both of Vicksburg; Eddie L. Hunt and Sherman Hunt both of Los Angeles; sister, Virgie Baskerville of Los Angeles; Delores McGriggs, a niece, who was reared as a sister; and other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Belmont MB Church, Charlie Brown Road, Utica, with the Rev. Phillip Burks officiating. Burial will follow at Belmont Church Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the family hour from 5 to 6 p.m.
