A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college and NFL football games played over the weekend:

• Kentucky safety A.J. Stamps (Vicksburg High) had a game-high 11 tackles in a 27-3 loss to Georgia. Stamps had one-half tackle for loss and one pass breakup.

• Ole Miss offensive lineman Talbot Buys (Porters Chapel Academy) saw playing time in a 53-52 overtime loss to Arkansas.

• Belhaven offensive lineman Steve Cooper (Vicksburg High) started at left guard as the Blazers beat Sul Ross State 12-6 in their season finale.

• Louisiana Tech cornerback Adairius Barnes (Port Gibson) had two total tackles in a 56-13 win over North Texas.

• New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had four solo tackles and one assist in a 27-10 win over the Washington Redskins. Butler has 41 total tackles this season, including 33 solos, which is the most among defensive backs for the undefeated Patriots.
