Viki Lynn Porter, 65, of Vicksburg, died Sunday Nov. 9, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.

Viki was a retired CSR/secretary due to an illness.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Jack ‘’Papa” and Barbara ‘’Mimi’’ Chobanian.

Viki was survived by her significant other, Dave Roberts; daughter, Tomi Davidson (Mark); her five grandchildren, Lance, Taylor, Katelyn, Hunter Burton and Drake Davidson; great-grandchild, Ryland Burton; sister, Wendi Rush (Paul); brother, Mark Preston (Tina); two nieces, Shelley Prescott (Raymond) and Kara Jo Jackson (Ben); two nephews, Josh Rush-ESAD and Greg Preston; and Judy Heidenreich (Steve), Sandy Lovell (Dane), Donna Pevey (Scott), and David Roberts (Sherry) along with their children.

Viki will be greatly missed. She never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest, even through her battle with cancer. She loved being in the mountains and sitting out back on the swing with Dave. Not only did she love every one who crossed her path, but she loved her animals.

Services will be Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Open Door Church on Mount Alban Road in Vicksburg followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. There will be no graveside service.

As Viki leaves us to go be with Jesus and her loved ones she leaves us with a smile.
