HERMANVILLE — Roy E. Jacobs Sr., of Detroit died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at his home. He was 73.

Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his parents, George and Stella Jacobs; and a sister, Ruby Jacobs.

Survivors include by his wife, Edna Jacobs of Detroit; two sons, Anthony Jacobs and Roy Jacobs Jr., both of Detroit; two daughters, Stella Jacobs, and Teaqua N. Jacobs, both of Detroit; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three brothers; six sisters; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be noon, Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Hermanville with the Rev. Johnny Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Hermanville Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 5p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday from 11a.m. until service time at the church.
