Johnny M. Cousins, 65, of Vicksburg, passed away at the VA Hospital in Jackson, Nov. 22, 2015. He was born and raised in Vicksburg and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a Green Beret.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Cousins, and mother, Annie “Marie” Halm.

He is survived by his daughters, Marie Cousins and Wendy Cousins; sisters, Dorothy Reaves and Shirley Boggan, all of Vicksburg, and Ethel Whitten of Valley Park; brothers, George Cousins Jr. of Vicksburg and Tom Cousins of Birmingham, Alabama; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, Alyssa Winstead.

Service will be graveside 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Judy Ford officiating and under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
