Bobby Jack Brown

Bobby Jack Brown died Monday, November 30, 2015 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 75.

He was born and raised in Vicksburg, and was a member of Cedar Grove M.B. Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was member of Tyner Ford Post 213. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Brown was the fourth of 12 children born to Dennis and Mary Brown, who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Dennis Brown III, Freddie Johnson, James Brown and Leroy Brown; sisters, Joann Brown, Frankie Lightfoot, and Thelma Johnson; and nephew, Marcus Brown.

Survivors include his daughter, Judi Wade; a son, Bryan Brown; three grandchildren; brothers, Harry Brown, Terry Brown, Earnest Paul Brown and Dennis Johnson; sisters, Lorraine Tate, Pauline Harris, Mary Louise Brown and Canerie Garrett; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul H. Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
