Kenneth Earl Johnson died Nov. 25, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 53.

Mr. Johnson was born Sept. 13, 1962, in Vicksburg to Elijah Johnson Sr. and the late Dorothy Johnson.

He attended Vicksburg-Warren schools, and was employed for 20 years with Central Asphalt Co. until his health declined.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Notton Jones Sr. and Rosie Lee Jones; and paternal grandparents, Pinkney Johnson and Ida Bell Johnson.

Survivors include his father, Elijah Johnson Sr. of Vicksburg; three sons, Christopher Johnson and Shonderrick Jackson, both of Vicksburg, and Kenneth L. Johnson of Dallas; three grandchildren; two sisters, Zanetta Williams of Oakland, Calif., and Dorothy Y. Johnson of Vicksburg; two brothers, Elijah Johnson Jr. and Calvin Johnson, both of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. E. E. Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
